Professional Profile
Mr Paul has treated orthopaedic and trauma cases since 1985 and has consulted at the Manchester Royal Infirmary since 1994. To date he has performed over 800 hip replacements, 600 knee replacements and carried out over 5,000 arthroscopic procedures on knees, shoulders, wrists, elbows and ankles in both his NHS and private practice.
He is the chairman of the clinical governance committee at Manchester Royal Infirmary and a member of the medical advisory committee (MAC) at Spire Manchester Hospital.
Mr Paul's trauma experience is very wide and he is a trauma instructor. He is also a club surgeon for a premiership football club.Mr Paul has published several orthopaedic and trauma papers and is interested in teaching and training junior surgeons.His current research interests are in soft tissue sarcoma and trauma. Mr Paul is also an honorary clinical lecturer in orthopaedics and trauma at the University of Manchester.
