Mr Asim Iqbal Shahmalak

Mr Asim Iqbal Shahmalak is a General Surgeon who has been working in the National Health Service for more than 10 years. Mr Shahmalak is the only Hair Transplant Surgeon who still works as a General Surgeon in the NHS. He was awarded Medical degree in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Royal college of Surgeons in Ireland. Mr. Shahmalak is a member of numerous societies and organisations namely -

Mr Shahmalak is a pioneering Surgeon who has performed the first successful Eye Lash Transplant in this country.

Mr Shahmalak is also an Examiner and Honorary Teacher at the University of Liverpool.

He is a Faculty Member of the ISHRS and he has presented papers at numerous hair conferences and societies.

He has attended International and European conferences and Live Surgical workshops for the Hair Restoration.

He has excellent surgical skills and technique.

His interest in Hair transplant is Natural Hair line restoration and Minimally visible Donor Scar.

Mr Shahmalak closes the Donor area with a special technique called The Trichophytic Closure which leaves an almost invisible scar at the donor site and the hairs grow through the scar leaving the donor area scar almost impossible to find.

Mr. Shahmalak also performs Eye brow, Eye lash, Beard and Moustache. He also does Scar Revision following multiple hair transplants.

“I would like to give some feedback following my hair treatment under the care of Mr Shahmalak. It has now been nearly 7 months since my operation and already the results have made a considerable difference to my appearance and confidence. During the procedure the medical care I received from the team was excellent and cannot be faulted. I have undergone a previous transplant before under the care of a difference surgeon.
