Procedures to remove unwanted skin lesions such as moles, cysts, warts or skin tags are typically very simple and straightforward.

Most lesions are removed using a scalpel under local anaesthetic, which means you remain awake throughout the procedure, but the lesion area is completely numb. Other techniques include applying chemical treatments, or freezing the skin. Sometimes a laser is used to destroy the lesion, while skin tags may be simply snipped off with surgical scissors. Your Consultant will be able to advise you on the best and most effective strategy for your skin lesion removal.
