Treatment: what to expect

Every patient receives a full assessment at their initial session, where we discuss their concerns and take a detailed history and thorough examination. This session lasts 30 minutes, and at the end we explain the diagnosis and discuss the best course of treatment. Treatment at this session may be provided depending on time restraints.

Treatment is tailored to the individual needs of each patient. After the initial session, any further treatment sessions required will typically be structured to work alongside an exercise programme, which helps promote a quick and effective recovery.

If we feel that a particular problem needs further assessment from another medical professional, such as a Surgeon or Podiatrist, then we will discuss this with the patient in question and advise him or her on the best route to follow.

Read on to see the methods that we use to help our patients’ conditions.

Private Medical Insurance - we are recognised by most major insurance companies (BUPA, Norwich Union, Standard Life). Please contact us for further information on claiming physiotherapy treatment costs.

New for 2010

We operate a 'Sports Strapping' Clinic on Saturday mornings. If you are suffering from a minor injury, our experts provide a full 'strapping' service to offer the support your injury requires to ensure you can play whilst minimising discomfort and avoiding further injury. You don't have to be a professional or even semi-pro to take advantage of this service. Even if you just play football for your local pub team on a Sunday, any amateur, from any area of sport, over the age of 12 is welcome. If a minor injury is placing doubt on your star striker, bowler or scrum half before your next match, this is the service for you!
