Private Midwifery

Bridgewater Hospital are delighted to work with MOM, My Own Midwife because no two pregnancies are the same, we offer our precious 'mums to be' bespoke antenatal and postnatal care to suit them. You can choose from adhoc appointments to the full support package. Dads and partners are included too. We offer informative birth preparation and parenting classes in a relaxed and informal setting. There is a 'Breast Feeding Café' for new mums, which is an invaluable source of advice and support and a great way to meet other new mums.

Situated in a private hospital we are ideally placed to organise pregnancy scans and can arrange onward referrals to Consultant Obstetricians, Consultant Paediatricians and Private Health Visitors where required.

MOMs can be used as your exclusive midwives, or as a 'top-up' to your existing NHS care. Our service is ideally suited to those women choosing a hospital birth, but wishing to enjoy the benefits and reassurance of private midwife care. We offer full clinical antenatal and postnatal checks at your convenience, including home visits. We also provide advice, support and guidance using the latest research based information and in-depth preparation for labour for you and your partner to enable you to feel empowered at the point of delivering your baby/babies to ensure you have the birth experience you wish for.
